Calle Latina: A Culinary Delight in Decatur, GA

Amazing Food omg, the Birria and Polllo Calle was 10/10, such a great portion too! calamari was good, though there could be a few less just batter pieces!! And the corn tortillas are made perfectly warm and crispy. Great service as well!!

Table for 2 for dinner We approached the restaurant and noticed a nice-sized shared parking lot. I quickly found a spot and took the short walk to the entrance. We didn't have a reservation and requested outside seating. However, we were told the outside area was reserved for an event. Later, we heard someone else ask to sit outside, and they were led there without hesitation. It felt like there was some miscommunication regarding the outside seating area. On a nice day, outside seating is always our preference. I mentioned the mix-up to our server but didn’t make a big deal out of it. We reviewed the drink menu and ordered the Sweetwater Lager, which our server suggested, and Wifey ordered the same. We thought we were tasting something new, but It turned out to be the Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale that we’d tasted before. We reviewed the food options and made our decision. Wifey went for the Lombo, described as Brazilian pork tenderloin with a side of plantains. I opted for the Fried Adobo Chicken, which came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. While waiting for our food, we noticed the great overall design and ambiance of the restaurant, with vibrant colors and original art everywhere. The food came out pretty quickly and looked delicious. We started to dig in, and the food did not disappoint. I loved my fried chicken meal, and Wifey just said, “Wow Wow” about her pork tenderloin. The portions were big enough that we had leftovers to take home. We also decided to order a Tres Leches to go. Overall, we had a very good experience at Calle Latina, and our server, Ciarra, was nice and took good care of us.

Another great restaurant in Decatur. The Chuletas de Puerco and the Lomo Saltado were excellent. Great beef empanadas, too. It's open later, and the restaurant had a nice, romantic, and cozy vibe to it.

I believe this is the same place that was downtown Decatur on church street. Really good food and seasoned well but not spicy. The only thing missing for me is the red beans you get in the puerto Rican or Dominican restaurant. Drinks are great and priced well

I went to Calle Latina over the weekend and had an excellent experience. The building is absolutely beautiful, I sat by the covered patio area and it was fitting for the Spring weather the view is nice. I had an amazing server by the name of Cassidy she was very attentive and suggested I got the special of the day which was the lobster and roasted corn empanadas. It did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes was amazing! It was like a party version of our southern staple very much enjoyed those. The steak tacos were delicious as well. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Quaint cantina-like restaurant. They get extra star for plenty of Free Parking. The food was okay. Creative dishes with ordinary flavors and ingredients. I had the apada style taco/tostada like dish.Angus beef finely chopped mixed with black beans inside a corn tortilla shell. Mango salsa was light on the mango which would have help the dish if it had been enough. We also had the salmon dish which was just salmon, with fried green tomatoes on the side. Also a Peruvian favorite ,Lomo Saltado which is marinated beef with tomatoes and fried potatoes in a vinegar based sauce which was missing. We had no sauce told the waitress it was dry could she get broth she was clueless. Turned out they had forgot to add it on the dish, cause eventually she told the chef and she brought some broth out. Which enchance the dish and therefore the 3 star rating overall for the food. I must say the atmosphere was a good vibe. I would give the restaurant food a second try because they had a 3 piece live jazz band with a stand-up big bass. It played latin jazz music. So cool. There is dining on the patio and their back wall slides open to let more air al fresco into the enclosed dining area. Wooden tables and tile floor adds to the authentic vibe. The restaurant seems to be a local favorite, for it was crowed. Very reasonably priced overall 4 stars. I recommend give it a try.

Stopped in to this Delicious Decatur destination for upscale latina cuisine. They have a different special each day and a Sunday brunch special. The food was a delight for the eyes as much as the taste. The taste was Divine and inspired. Full of nutrition without weighing you down. The staff was incredible, very upbeat and positive vibes. You can tell this is a restaurant where the employees enjoy the food and what they do. They even had us wagging. The menu has so much to explore we surely will be back for their next weekday special.

My husband and I absolutely loved it! Everything was delicious.
